By now, you might have heard that TECNO is releasing its latest flagship smartphone, which it simply calls The New Phantom, but what you probably don’t know yet is that it will be TECNO’s best smartphone yet.
From its first Phantom, the Phantom A released in July 2013 to the Phantom Z launched in August 2014, the company has constantly raised the bar and brought power and true innovation to smartphone users across Africa.
The New Phantom, likely to be called Phantom 5, is expected to take it further.
While we’re yet to receive the official device specifications, there are indications that The New Phantom could sport a 5.5-inch HD display, an octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM with battery capacity of 3000 mAh.
The device, which would likely run on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS could also feature a full metal casing and 4G LTE, something that is missing in its previous Phantoms.
Also, expect some cool surprises packed inside The New Phantom,
thanks to an improved TECNO UI, and Google’s latest Android software.
Although there’s no official word yet on pricing and availability, the device is expected to be officially launched at a media event in Lagos on Wednesday, September 16, and could retail for about N90,000 NGN, according to a Gearloy source.
