Nigerian undergraduates have been charged to imbibe the spirit of entrepreneurship.
Mr David Ossai gave this advice at a conference he organised for students recently, where he said opportunities are perched everywhere in the society, adding that students need to learn how to identify and utilise those opportunities for the betterment of our society.
Held at the NuStreams Conference and Culture Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan, the keynote speaker, Akpo Kentebe, CEO, Verse 29 Limited, stressed on the need for students to think and be acute observers on how to turn opportunities into reality.
Speaking with Campusbeats, a participant at the event said it was inspiring.
“The programme was insightful, as it is an eye opener into making my dreams come true,” Dara Aderemi, a student of Mass Communications, Lead City University said.
“I’ve been inspired today and my notion about life has been reshaped. I’ve also learnt that everything is not about books, or striving to make a first class. There are many things youths can do to change the society and add value to lives,” Chukwudi, a 100-Level student of the Faculty of Law, University of Ibadan said.
Other entrepreneurs who graced the events were Chude Jideonwo, co-founder Red Media Africa; Seun Onigbinde, co-founder BUDGIT; Iyin Aboyeji, co-founder Andela foundation; and Oluyomi Ojo.
